Services Flotilla 11-04 offers
- Boating Classes
-
This eight-lesson course is directed toward the
power boater, but also has applications for the sailing enthusiast,
emphasizing safe boating practices. The course covers such topics as boat
characteristics and structure, nautical nomenclature, legal requirements and
necessary equipment, boat handling, aids to navigation, navigation rules,
marine radiotelephone and trailering.

Membership is open to all citizens of the
United States and its territories who are at least 17 years old. Facility
ownership (radio station, aircraft or boat ) is desirable, but not
mandatory. Individuals with special skills or interests that may be useful
to the Auxiliary (teaching, public affairs, administration and many others)
are also welcome
- Vessel Safety Checks

The U. S. Coast Guard
Auxiliary offers free safety checks to boaters who wish to be sure that
their boats meet all federal and state requirements. The Vessel Examiners
who perform these checks are specially trained Auxiliarists who are kept
informed on the latest legal requirements for boaters.
- Idaho Boating Laws
- These requirements state specific. Other states may have similar
laws. Its your responsibility to know the laws that govern the bodies of
water which you boat.
